Markham is glad to hear from John and he brings back happy memories. Markham wants to attend the Author's Week that is fathered by J.K. Gill Company. Markham is unable to go to Oregon due to much work. Markham remembers the last banquet and the faces of his friends. He recalls Anne Shannon Monore.
